It’s a grey rainy day in Essex, but I have some upcoming posts to look forward to 🙂

New Product sent by a company for review ‘air dried’ apple crisps!

I also feel an interior design  or ‘HOME’ post shall be shortly added as well.  🙂

Currently in talks with some lovely people about reviewing fitness, health and well being products, watch this space.

Quick update, exciting products are winging their way to me in the near future!

I can tell you that some of them will be foody…….. (excited) as I haven’t done a foody review for a while!

I have high hopes that I will be being sent some local produce to review for you as well, which is always a great pleasure for me!

I love finding companies that perhaps not every one has heard of and especially championing the local and smaller businesses!

So keep watching for my Review updates in the near future!

Lost with out my laptop :(

I had some great ideas for the last few Blog posts I’ve missed so I’ve had to save them.

This is because the Laptop I’m currently using (one I’ve borrowed as my last one decided to turn itself off and never turn on again) is having problems.

I fear this one is a bit old and doddery and is really struggling to keep up with my demands.

It seems to have a life of its own, it’s so unpredictable.

Sometimes it will let me connect to the internet, some times not at all, some times some pages on the internet will load and then not others.

So basically if I have more than one page open it really struggles and takes me HOURS to complete anything – always showing me the ‘time out’ symbol.

Initially I thought it was an internet problem until I realised every one elses laptops and phones connect quickly and easily with out all this fuss.

Even with recent virus checks etc it has been increasingly getting slower and slower.

My boyfriend deleted many browsers and other ‘technical computer jargon’ things that could have been slowing it down it barely made any difference. 😦

So here’s my dilemma get a brand new lap top (more modern, faster with perhaps more software that would be useful to me) or try to get my old Laptop repaired.

Ahh decisions, decisions.

I feel like when it decides to work I really have to take the opportunity to do what I can, there’s only so much I can do connected to the internet on my phone!

The screen on my phone is small and some of the functions that appear on the larger ‘full screen’ or ‘laptop screen’ don’t appear when you view by phone.

So apologies for not posting over Valentines day etc and I will keep you updated as to what’s happening Re: my laptop situation! x

Working on another Book, Clacton On Sea and Back pain..

Hi every one just a quick update, I’m currently working on another book, it’s a collection of Ghost stories from my home town Clacton On Sea.

Exciting stuff!

I feel like my home town could do with some positive publicity, lately all the stories on the news about it have been negative and imply that people from my area have no ambition or standards; which simply isn’t true.

That being said I think Clacton could do with an injection of ambition and a few good role models/success stories!

The topic of my Book has long been a big interest of mine, I am really spiritual and love anything of that nature!

I have an on going back problem and on a down side sitting with my laptop regularly for long periods of time is increasing my pain immensely and recently I have experienced some new pain/problems!

If any one has any good tips for me to lessen the pain whilst sitting at a desk please comment below xx

On a Brighter note my deadline for submission is a fairly long one (Thank goodness) I don’t think I could do it any quicker when I am in this much pain.

My doctor has given me muscle relaxant medication to help when my muscles cramp but one of the big side effects is drowsiness and inevitably I fall asleep!

That’s the down side of taking ‘man made medicine’ though I suppose (all the side effects)!

I am excited to see where I go with this book, although I do have to say all my expectations from series like ‘Ghost Whisperer’ and ‘Supernatural’ of clicking the mouse a few times and finding the history of things like buildings is, I’m sad to say very unrealistic. 😦

Check in again soon, don’t forget to leave me a comment x

Hi there :)

Happy New Year!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas (if you celebrate Christmas), and had a wonderful ‘holiday’ if you don’t.

unfortunately there’s been some serious Illness diagnosed for a close family member so I haven’t written here consistently for a little while.

On top of that after Christmas my very old little lady Cat (she was 21 years old) had to be put to sleep due to heart problems, so all in all not a great start!

I might take this topic up at a later date xx

I love writing, as much as an expression of my personality it’s like therapy for me.
It’s a good place for me to explain what I’ve been researching or thinking about lately and really mould my opinions as I am writing them.

Also once I’ve got it down it means the mumbo jumbo in my head comes to some kind of understandable order.
I had a lovely Christmas day with my family although one person was missing because they were too poorly to join in, but I was determined to have fun for them.

My Christmas was not traditional I spent it at my father’s place of work!
He works on a boat as an engineer and every other year the crew take it in turns to do the ‘Christmas shift’.

‘Oh no how awful’ I hear you groan.
Well I can tell you now that being catered for by professional Chefs, having an endless supply of wine and a cinema screen practically to yourself eased the pain!

It was great!

We are very Lucky to experience a different type of Christmas with all the crew members, some of their family’s and Philippino staff all eating together in one large dining room.

The staff were Merry, children were exploring excitedly and asking for ‘Monsters University’ and ‘Frozen’ to be played in the cinema.

So after a giant Roast dinner…. (This is my brothers plate I might just add!!)

That’s exactly where I spent my evening, with mince-pie and wine in hand in the cinema watching Gravity, Frozen and Monsters University; feeling Christmassy 🙂

New Year was spent with family watching films and reflecting on the past year and looking at what lies ahead.

I wish you all good Health, Laughter, adventures and Compassion for those less fortunate for 2014! xx

New Year, New Ideas..

The New Year calls for New Ideas!

I don’t think I’ve got any particular New Years Resolutions but I do have upcoming plans for my Blog.

I will keep reviewing products for you, here are a little selection of LUSH products that I will be reviewing.

I plan to add to my product reviews including nail polishes face products, my favourites from 2013 including some of my own tips and tricks.

I’m also hoping to get sent some natural products (like aromatherapy oils, Carrier oils etc) to make home-made beauty products and test them out for you and perfect the ‘recipes’.

I’m also looking at signing with a review testing company so I can have more random items to review 🙂

I will be writing about the view from the Shard in London.

I’ve had so many ideas for my Hot Topic Blogs where I share with you research I’ve done, discoveries I’ve made, things I’ve come across in my life/on the Internet and hopefully some or all of them will interest you.

*Fitspiration, including my goals and Healthy Recipe ideas

*My journey learning about animal welfare in the farming industry and becoming a vegetarian

*A Spiritual journey

*Learning and finding new subjects that I find fascinating

*Animal Re-homing Centres and ‘the bigger picture’

*What makes you Happy? The simple things in life

I have no idea what order they will come out in, but I am trying to be good and remember to take photos for you! 🙂

I’ve missed so much….

I’ve been away from WordPress for a while and have logged on recently to have a nose around and I’ve missed so much, every ones getting on with projects babies are growing and changing… I have been so busy ‘Living’ and finding things to Blog about that I haven’t actually sat down to Blog (naughty me – slap on the wrist)!

If this has taught me anything it’s that I’m taking on far too many things at once, I’ve started reading 3 different books, I keep collecting things to make/do/learn and they are all waiting to be started!

So far…

  • My infamous Retro tea-tray awaiting make over(sanded and painted) awaiting something pretty to go behind the clear perspex ‘window’ in the middle.
  • 2 wooden candle sticks-currently a shade of emerald-green awaiting make over,
  • Glass pebble rings started look beautiful need finishing,
  • Quilting Book,
  • Soft toy making Book & Wadding,
  • Lots of Jam Jars and Chutney & Jam book,
  • Lots of Items to poss eBay (I buy on eBay but have never sold anything)
  • Waiting for wax and candle wicks from eBay,
  • Coconut oil for soap making
  • Foraging – Herbal remedies – lots of dried flower heads,
  • Lots of lavender to make lavender Bags etc…

I’m sure there are more(I will update it if I find any)!

It feels like Life has been pretty hectic lately, the last few weeks especially, my organisational skills have been called upon to organise my parents packing for their holiday, (supervising really) and reminding my Mum of things she’s forgotten to pack/do…

and sort out my little brother.

Not only did he get stranded abroad only making it home by the skin of his teeth but he’s also off to Uni soon…which means lots of sorting and list making so he has everything he needs when he gets there.

I’m sure he’d survive with the clothes on his back and a tin of beans (which he would happily arrive with) but for my mother’s health – I have stepped in 😀

I do complete my Lists of things to do, but no sooner have I checked something off, there’s something new to put on it.

I’m awful for writing lists and putting certain things off until i absolutely have to do it but once it’s done I feel great!

Today I was supposed to catch up with paper work and emails, but instead I did some research into Free range chickens, and animal welfare, and looked at the LUSH spa in London and day dreamed about massage! 😀

I did complete lots of gardening I planted my sunflower (it was begging for more root space than the flower-pot that contained it)!

Lots of cutting and tidying, it’s not finished, but I am happy with what I achieved today it’s very satisfying when you can SEE what you’ve done.

I have made plum Jam and will upload photos and recipe soon, been on a fair few day trips and will be reviewing two places to eat ‘Thai up at the Quay’ and ‘The Angel Inn’.

I guess the main project I have completed is ‘project work space’ My own creative work space with ‘inspiration board’ and all the things I could need …(including my own biscuit tin)! I will upload photos.

Oh yes and towards the end of Aug was my Birthday! 🙂 Got so many lovely goodies feel thoroughly spoilt and still got some to come(late presents are the best I think, because you forget your getting them).

Great present from my family I’m going to see The Hairy Bikers in London with my Mum (I have my suspicions she really wanted to go) 😀
